How do I place an order for an event plant rental?

The first step is to Request A Quote. Our team will review the information provided, and a design specialist will reach out with questions or recommendations. Once we’ve determined your needs, The Plant Library will send you a quote including all rental, delivery, and service charges. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the availability of the requested items. All event plant rentals are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Can I pick out my own plants and pots?

Nature’s beauty lies in the unexpected. We offer Native, Evergreen, Outdoor, and Desert collections in a variety of sizes and options. Our team of designers will work with you to develop your aesthetic, combining the market’s best selections with more than 300 in-house plants for an arrangement worthy of Mother Nature herself. Each collection is available to rent with White, Gray, Black, or Terra Cotta pots. For specific plants, reach out to us to place a custom order.

Do you offer delivery and setup?

Absolutely! Our local plant delivery services in NYC, Texas, California, and Florida comes to you via The Plant Library’s fleet of electric vehicles. We transport all plants directly to your venue, and style your selections on-site. At the end of the event, we’ll collect all our items for return to our warehouse so that they can be used again and again.

How long is your rental period?

All of our rentals include a standard three-day rental period. If you need your plants for longer, we offer a 50% discounted rate for each three-day period after that.

How does your pricing work?

All items are priced per piece, including individual plants or curated collections such as duos, trios, and styled vignettes. Each rental includes up to a three-day rental period. If you need your plants for longer, we offer a 50% discounted rate for each three-day period after that. Tax and delivery are additional, and each order also includes a pre-production fee to cover the preparation and maintenance of all rentals.

Costs for delivery and pickup depend on the size of the order and delivery location. Setup is included with the price of delivery. Overtime fees apply for after-hours and weekend pickups.

Why rent plants for events instead of buying them?

Renting plants for your event is a more thoughtful and sustainable way to bring nature into your space. Instead of being purchased for a single moment and discarded afterward, our plants continue their journey long after your event ends.

At The Plant Library, every plant returns to our studio after use, where it’s carefully refreshed, nurtured, and given time to thrive again. Nothing is wasted — just rotated, revived, and reimagined for its next appearance.

Where do you offer plant rentals?

The Plant Library offers full-service plant rentals for events in California, New York, Texas, Florida, and London, UK. Planning an event outside of these areas? We can help with that too. Email us at info@theplantlibrary.com or give us a call at 415.494.7956.

How far in advance should I book plant rentals for an event?

As a general guideline, for small to moderate-sized events, one week’s notice is usually enough to plan and confirm your event plant rental. For larger events or more complex installations, earlier is always better, as additional time is needed for design, logistics, and securing the right inventory.

During busy periods, we do often sell out, so we always recommend booking as early as possible to ensure availability and give us time to bring your vision to life.

Do you offer large-scale installations?

Yes! We offer plant rentals for events of all sizes, from small tabletop vignettes for cocktail and dinner settings to full-scale botanical installations that completely transform a space.

If you have an idea or concept in mind, feel free to reach out and we’ll work with you to bring your vision to life.
